The Death of Pinoy Music

I grew up listening to Pinoy Music. One of my first memories include listening to Philippine Violators, Betrayed, The Jerks, The Dawn, Put3Ska, TVJ to name a few. If not for the car radio, i wont be listening to the radio again. Seriously.

Is our country running out of musicians that's why our air waves are full of trash? Is this what we just evolved into? What happened to Pinoy Music?

When i have the chance to watch gigs of some friends, i know that we still have musicians who love their crafts. But it says otherwise when you tune in to the radio. This was one of the reasons why I came up with my own radio station. Maybe we can influence young listeners with some of our great artists.

So what really happened to Pinoy Music? Blame it on the bandwagon attitude that we have. We have originality and we know it. But due to corporate greediness, they tend to go south ─ against the musicians will. And we all know, we need to money for everything. See what happened to our air waves?

Let's support locals before we ran out of talented people here.
